Pouring myself another glass of wine I stare out into the city’s lit up skyline. This view sold us on this condo. A view was on top of Marcus’s list of must haves. Too bad he’s rarely here to see it and we have been here for two years. He dragged me to Las Vegas from Los Angeles, and of course being the obedient fiancé that I am, I packed my bags and followed him. Also being the obedient daughter I am, I did it with a smile.
Frowning, I glance at the cold food and blown out candles on the dining room table. Today is our five year anniversary, and Marcus is nowhere to be found. Just like the last three years. It’s sad that I know it's coming, but I still go out of my way to make his favorite pasta dish and cheesecake.
I’m not stupid enough to believe he’s training, it’s already past midnight.
I laugh to myself as I play with my four-carat engagement ring.
Marcus Wellington, Heavyweight boxing champion of the world. I should be the happiest girl in the world right? I’m not. I’m the loneliest girl in the world.
My parents insisted since he came from a good family with a promising career that I say yes to his proposal. I should be grateful, my mother says. I’m sure Marcus only asked because of who my family is. St. Cruix is a big name in the sports industry. I am the odd duck in the family, I had no interest in the business. I honestly had no idea who Marcus was until my parents introduced us years ago. I still don’t keep up with his career or sports in general. Which is probably the way he likes it, because he actually thinks that I have no idea what the press says. I know he cheats. Why do I stay? Because I am my parents puppet.
I pick up my phone and call Marcus for the fifth time. Of course it goes straight to voicemail. No shocker there.
Sighing I start to clean up the table. He won’t be home tonight so I know better than to wait up.
After loading the dishwasher I grab the bottle of wine and make my way to our bedroom. The bedroom where nine times out of ten, I’m sleeping alone.
I debate on calling my best friend, Chelsea, but decide not to. I don’t need to hear her opinion right now. All she does is voice my thoughts. No matter how unhappy I am I can’t bring myself to let my family down.
Instead of letting my mind wonder what slut is riding my fiancé’s dick, I fill my glass and turn on my Kindle. If I can’t have my own happily ever after, then I’ll live someone else’s. My life is sad, I can only blame myself.
The bedroom is bright when I wake, I fell asleep reading. Marcus’s side of the bed looks not slept in. He didn’t come home as I predicted.
I need coffee. I roll out of bed yawning and slip on my robe. I’m sure my hair looks crazy, but fuck it, I have no one to look good for.
I stop in my tracks on my way to the kitchen. Marcus stands in the living room, staring out the large window. He is still in yesterday’s clothes, his short brown hair ruffled. He looks like shit.
Like every other morning, I ignore him and make my way to the kitchen to start the coffee maker.
“Make me a cup.” No good morning. No apology for missing last night. Just a demand. Such a prick.
I roll my eyes and don’t respond as I grab an extra mug.
The clock reads ten oh four. This is new, he actually made it in before noon. Barely.
I set his black coffee on the counter. “Here you go, dear,” I say sweetly.
He turns and narrows his blue eyes at me. “Don’t start your shit, Madison. I had a rough night.”
I smirk, “I’m sure, Marcus.”
He ignores me and picks up the mug, taking a seat on the stool in front of me. He starts scrolling through his phone and that’s my cue that our conversation is done. Thank god.
We drink our coffee in silence. Marcus grunts here and there, I assume he’s going through emails or something the press typed up about him.
My phone vibrates, It’s a text from Chelsea.
Chelsea: Let’s go out tonight. Don’t say no. You need this, bitch!
She’s right, I do. Usually I would make up a reason to say no.
Me: I’m down, come over at eight to get ready :)
“I’m going out with Chels tonight,” I tell him.
Marcus snorts. “Whatever. I’ll probably be at the gym most of the night, I have that big fight coming up in a few months…..” And that’s where I stop listening. We both know he won’t be at the gym most of the night, and we both know I don’t care about his upcoming fight. My job is just to show up and look pretty.
I force a smile. “Well, don’t train too hard.” I try to sound concerned, but I fail.
“You’re so full of shit.” Marcus laughs. I shrug, no point of denying it.
He stands up. “I’m going to hop in the shower, I’ll see you later. If not, be safe. Call Ray if you need a ride later.” Of course he wouldn’t say to call him.
I nod and watch him walk away. I’m engaged to an asshole. He may be a hot, rich asshole but he’s still an asshole.
My phone vibrates again.
Chels: Wear something sexy with those red heels you bought the other day.
I smile. For the first time, I can’t wait to go out. I can do whatever he can do, right?
I’m Madison St. Cruix, of course I can.
Sunrise ft. Dev- The Cataracs
“I can’t believe you actually came out.” Chelsea basically dragged me to the front of the long line to some club. “And you look so hot!”
I took extra time doing my make-up, it’s been a long time since I have put any effort into my make-up. I us
ually do something simple, but tonight called for something special.
I tried to keep up while pulling down the hem of my short black dress that Chelsea forced me to wear while she stole a royal blue bandage dress from my closet.
As she gave the bouncer her name, I checked my hair with my compact mirror, thankfully my blonde curls were still perfect and my winged eyeliner didn’t smudge around my grey eyes.
“Stop, you look gorgeous.” She grabs my hand and pulls me into the loud club. I’m not even sure of the name of the club. Chelsea’s boyfriend is a DJ and has in’s everywhere.
Drake’s newest hit Hotline Bling was bumping through the club as we made our way to the VIP bar.
“What can I get you ladies.” The bartender smiles at us , her red curls bouncing.
“Two jager bombs,” Chelsea says quickly.
I look at her surprised. “Starting big tonight I see.”
“Hell yeah, I finally got your ass out of that empty condo.”
I don’t reply as the bartender sets our glass and shot glasses in front of us.
“Ready. One. Two. Three.” I drop my shot glass into the Redbull and quickly drink it back.
Holy shit, why do we always drink these again?
Chelsea coughs next to me and tosses her straight brown hair over her shoulder. “Oh shit, that’s nasty.”
There’s a deep chuckle from the other side of me. I look toward the sound.
“Something funny?” I ask.
The strangers brown eyes sparkle, and his lips twitch. He’s handsome and tall, well over six feet. Maybe a tad bit taller than Marcus. His tan skin and dark hair gives him a Hispanic look. Broad shoulders fill in his black button up with the sleeves rolled up showing off his toned, tattooed arms and black jeans ride low on his hips.
He shakes his head. “Nothing is funny, just admiring a beautiful lady chug down a jager bomb.”
“Is there something wrong with that?” I purse my lips.
“Nothing at all. Most women like those little fruity drinks.”
“Well, I’m not most women.”
He studies me. “You’re most definitely not.”
Chelsea makes her way around me. “Hi, I’m Chelsea, and this rude one here is Madison.”
He smiles and my panties automatically get wet. It’s been too long.
“I’m Yoel.” He looks right at me and I will myself to look away. I’m engaged for fuck sake.
Yeah, engaged to a man that cheats on you, my mind tells me.
“Hey, you’re Dominic’s friend, right?” The mention of her boyfriend makes me look back.
Yoel nods. “Yes, I’m supposed to meet up with him here.” He looks at me again. “He said he had someone for me to meet.”
“I’m engaged,” I blurt. What the fuck, Madison. What happened to all that, He can do it so can I?
He smiles that panty dropping smile again. “What a shame.”
Just then Dominic walks up. “Hey babe, sorry I’m late.” He kisses her then looks to me and Yoel. “Hey Madi! I see you met Yoel, I was telling him about you.”
“Apparently you forgot to mention that she’s engaged.” He sips his beer.
Dominic frowns. “Damn, I forget sometimes.”
Asshole. I see my best friend has been telling my business.
“Anyway.” Chelsea shoots him a look. “Madi, come with me to the bathroom?”
I nod and follow her to the bathroom.
“Don’t hate me.” She starts when the door closes. “I asked him to bring a friend. Just hear me out. That asshole is always playing you, I just want you to have some fun.”
I sigh, she’s right. I deserve a little fun. Yoel is a sexy as hell one night. It couldn’t hurt right?
“I don’t hate you, but you could have warned me.”
“Then you wouldn’t have came.” She points out. She’s right of course.
“Let’s go have fun.” I turn on my high red heels.
Chelsea claps behind me.
I need another drink.
I let Yoel buy me my next four drinks. I start feeling good and I flirt with him. I guess I wasn’t too rusty since he was flirting back. I should be alarmed that he didn’t bring up me being engaged again, but I’m glad he didn’t.
“How old are you?” I sip my drink.
“I’m twenty-eight, what about you?” He sets down his drink.
“Twenty-six.”
He steps closer to me, inches from my lips. His finger traces down my face to my chin gently.
“You’re beautiful,” he whispers in my ear.
I blush. I haven’t been called beautiful in a long time.
The Weeknd’s new song The Hills starts playing and I glance down at the dance floor. He tilts his head and pulls me toward the stairs that lead to the dance floor. Women watch his every move as he moves us to the middle of the dance floor. Yes, ladies, I know he’s hot, and right now his dark eyes are only on me.
Turning I press my ass against his already hard erection and start moving to the beat. I might be a white girl, but I could move with the best of them thanks to a few classes I took when I was in college.
Yoel’s hands grip my hips as he moves with me, his breath tickling my neck. I grind harder against him making him nibble on my ear.
“You’re killing me here.” He begins to kiss my neck.
Turning to face him I smile, sliding my hands up his hard chest and around his neck. I nod in the direction of the bar.
“One more drink.”
He wastes no time getting me off the floor and back to the VIP section. He orders me another drink and water for himself.
“Water?” I raise an eyebrow. “Are you trying to get me drunk and take advantage of me?”
He tilts my chin up so that ours eyes lock on each other.
“You should come home with me, Madison.” He ignores my questions.
Chills run down my spine. All I know about Yoel is that he’s two years older than me, he’s from the south and he’s in town for a few months for a job. I also know that he makes me feel beautiful.
You don’t need to know much for a one night stand, my mind reminds me.
“I’m engaged,” I remind him.
He licks his lips. “Then why are you so hot right now, I can feel your body calling for me.” His hand slips in under my dress, his fingers trace my silk panties. “Are you wet for me, or him?”
My back is against the bar and he’s standing in front of me. Yoel’s fingers push my panties to the side and two fingers slip into me. I moan.
“I take it you’re wet for me, Madison,” he whispers in my ear. “So tight. Come home with me, let me take care of you.”
Marcus is definitely not taking care of me.
I don’t speak. I just nod. I was going through with this.
Yoel slips his hand out of my dress and grabs my hand, walking us toward the front of the club. I look around for Chelsea, but I don’t see her anywhere.
“They left, I told her I’ll get you home safely,” he says once we’re out and away from the loud music. “I saw you looking for your friend,” he explains.
We walk through the hotel toward the elevators, once we’re in he swipes a card and hits the penthouse button.
I glance at him. “What is it you do again?”
He doesn’t look at me. “I’m in advertising.”
I guess he’s not going to go into his job. I guess I don’t need that information to have sex. Yeah, I have never had a one-night stand before. I haven’t had sex with anyone besides Marcus in the last five years. Shit, Marcus hasn’t touched me for at least six months.
Now I was overthinking this whole thing as the elevator doors open and he’s presses his hand on my lower back leading me in.
“Would you like a drink?” He tosses his key and phone on the bar.
I take a look around the suite, I didn’t know advertising brought in so much money.
“No, thank you.” I was tipsy enough.

bsp; He smiles, “Good. Take off that sexy little dress. Leave the heels on and get on my bed.” He nods toward a door on the other side of the room.
I’m about to lose my nerve, but I take a deep breath and turn around. I look back at him.
“Can you unzip me.” My voice comes out soft and low.
Yoel walks up behind me and unzips my dress, his finger trailing down my back and fingering my thong. “Take it all off.”
I let my dress fall to the floor, my thong and bra following. I bite my lip and look at him through my lashes turning around, my heels clicking on the marble floor as I make my way to the bedroom. I can feel his eyes on me until I disappear.
A large king size bed with plush bedding sits in the middle of the room. A large window takes up the far wall overlooking the Las Vegas strip.
“I said, get on the bed.”
I turn to see Yoel in just a pair of boxer briefs. Oh my stars, he’s ripped. His tanned body is toned and sculpted. He definitely works out. My eyes travel down the huge bulge.
“Like what you see, baby?” His voice is low.
Crawling on to the bed, I nod. No point in being shy. “Yes.” I smile laying back on my elbows. My legs spread and my knees bent. I’m glad I went to the salon earlier this week.
His brown, hooded eyes take me in as he stands before me, tossing condoms on the bed.
This is happening. Holy shit.
His knees dip onto the edge of the bed. “I wonder if you taste as good as you look, Madison.” I swear I’ve never heard my name sound so sexy.
I watch as he hooks his elbows around my knees pulling me closer. I can feel his mouth kiss the inside of my legs, trailing down. My head falls back as his mouth covers my mound, sucking gently.
Oh shit.
He moans. “You taste so fucking good.”
His mouth devours me, his tongue circling and licking my spot. I wasn’t going to last. It’s been too long.
Gripping his hair, I moan as he works me over with his magic. My legs start to shake and a tingle spreads up my body.
“Yoel,” I barely moan out as I shut his head between my legs and grip his hair harder.
He sucks up everything I give.
“Damn, baby.” He lifts up smiling. He smacks the side of my ass gently. “Turn over and get on all fours, I’m not done with you.”
